No. To this day, Marie-Catherine de Saint-Augustin is recognized as Blessed since 1989. The mission of the Centre Catherine-de-Saint-Augustin is to spread awareness of her life, preserve and promote her religious heritage, and advance her cause toward canonization.
The Centre Catherine-de-Saint-Augustin operates on regular hours.
The church of the Augustine nuns of the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec follows the same schedule, although it may vary depending on religious celebrations or special events.
For the most up-to-date opening hours, please visit the "Visit" section on our website.
We offer guided tours In the Footsteps of Iakonikonriiostha. From the entrance of the Centre, visitors pass through the sacristy, the front choir, walk past the door leading to the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec, and finally enter the historic church of the Augustines of the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec.
Once inside this church, visitors can pause for reflection in the presence of the reliquary of Blessed Marie-Catherine of Saint-Augustin and the holy martyrs Jean de Brébeuf, Gabriel Lalemant, and Charles Garnier.
It is also an opportunity to discover the Marian exhibition Hail… Our Lady, on display until spring 2026. This exhibition wonderfully conveys the Marian spirituality of the Augustines and Blessed Marie-Catherine of Saint-Augustin.
