Built between 1930 and 1931, the nuns' choir is a place where the Augustine Sisters of the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec gathered to sing the Divine Office, pray for the sick, and to live out their vocation, sustained by communal prayer, for decades. This sacred space remains a living testament to their spiritual life, their fidelity to prayer, and their desire to be "of one heart and one soul, directed in God." (Saint Augustine)

Although there are no longer regular masses, the choir remains open for personal prayer, and liturgical celebrations are sometimes held there on special occasions.

Every day, the office of Lauds and Mass are celebrated at the Basilica-Cathedral Notre-Dame de Quebec located a few steps from the Catherine Centre.
